VWCCNY Monthly Meetings: Are held at DENNY’S Restaurant on South Bay road, just North of Northern Lights plaza

On the 2nd Monday of the month (except for July, 1st Monday) in the back room from 7pm-9pm, room is open @ 6pm for VW dinning.

MAY

· Crystal Ball cruise. VWCCNY members volunteered to join the procession of street & Hot rods chauffeuring Marcellus Seniors to their

Senior Ball, and in appreciation we had a catered open bowling party, then take the students to their after prom party.

This is a great event for local participation and makes a lasting impression on the VW volunteer as well as a happy couple's Ball memories.

July

· 7/5 VWCCNY monthly Meeting. 7-9pm DENNY’S Restaurant on South Bay road

· 7/10 VW Bugs in the Garden, a free VW show in the Buffalo region, with free overnight camping on the show field.

· VWCCNY OUTTING: Drive-in Movie?? (TBD)

· 7/16~18 Syracuse Nationals, VWCCNY participates during this HUGE street rod car show parking in the Toyota bldg, with inside displayspaces for local car clubs. RSVP REQUIRED for parking INSIDE Bldg. SPACE IS LIMITED to 20 VWs. Albert is contact person.Volunteer for ~4hrs anytime during the event for admission fee waived ($40value). VWCCNY is by far the busiest local car club in the bldg.

· 8/1 Bavarian Fest Longbranch park, Liverpool, NY 1st wkend in August park right inside the festival near the beer and dance/music tents.

FREE PARKING, the BEST parking in the event. From noon-7pm come in early or Plan to stop by after the Webster Bug Bust.

· 8/1 Bug Bust, VW show in Webster, NY (Rochester suburb) Rochester’s long going VW show held at the Webster High School.

· 9/3 VW Thursdays @ the beach Pre-Labor day Thursday cruise night and $.20 wings @ Sylvan Beach, NY on the end of Oneida lake agreat time and good cars. eating, and talking VWs with new friends as well as old..

October

· 10/03 VWCCNY Apple_Umpkin fall cruise annual VW event for gathering apples and pumpkins while enjoying the beautiful foliage andchallenging scenery of the Cherry valley region south of Syracuse. Cruise route included meeting @ Webster's pond, apple picking @ Beakand Skiff orchards, $1-$2 pumpkin picking as well as twisty 13curves and a final destination at VWCCNY sponsor and restaurant BOOMBOOM MEX MEX serves up some great food and we always hang and talk afterwards.

DECEMBER

· Wacky Wednesdays in December (5-8pm), Help VWCCNY Help give the gift of bicycles for Christmas. Member Jan maloff hosts anannual charity drive, collecting and repairing bicycles for underprivileged inner city children. Donated bikes require basic maintanence andsafety testing as well as just able hands to move and load them. Everyone had such a great time in 2009, we’re going to do it again.

· 12/11 (2-4pm) VWCCNY Winter luncheon mtg. Held @ Plainville Turkey Farms restaurant. New & unwrapped toy for Toys for tots
